Valve Seats

Description

A valve is a device that regulates, directs, controls the flow of a fluid (gases, liquids, fluidized solids or slurries) by opening or closing or partially obstructing various pressure ways.

Application & Usage

  1. Industries in which majority of valves are used are oil & gas, power generation, mining, water reticulation, sewage and chemical manufacturing.
  2. Valves play a vital role in industrial application ranging from transportation of drinking water to control of ignition in a rocket engine.

Materials used

Ball valve seats are made from Virgin PTFE, Glass Filled PTFE, Carbon filled PTFE, PEEK, Polyfill etc.

Stem Seals

Description

The stem seal transmits motion from the handle or the controlling device to the disc. The stem physically passes through the bonnet when present. In some cases the stem and the disc combined in one piece, or the stem and the handle are combined in one piece.

Application & Usage

  • Stem can be removed from the ball valve without removing it from the line and this feature lowers the maintenance cost from down time while replacing the stem seals.
  • Stem lubrication fitting provides minimal stem/bonnet corrosion from environmental elements which promotes ease of operation of ball valves and promotes extended valve life.
  • Blowout proof stem can be designed with a higher shear strength shoulders prevention of stem blow out which is a critical for personal safety.
  • Double stem seal can be provided in ball valve assembly and this secondary stem seals provides backup in the event the primary seal fails to hold the flow pressure.

Valve Sleeves

Description

PTFE sealed plug valve suitable for isolation in the desalination, processing and mining industries. No cold flow and expansion areas take up expansion of the PTFE sleeve at higher temperature.

Application & Usage

The supporting sleeves in screwed plug valve without touching the conical plug adjust themselves exactly to the form of plug. This excludes distortion of PTFE sleeve in valve body and PTFE cold flow.

  • PTFE sleeve entirely retained by 360 Deg lips around the ports.
  • Act as primary seal in the waterway and to the atmosphere.
  • Due to PTFE sleeves no lubrication necessary. Therefore no contamination of the process fluid by lubricants.

Envelope Gaskets

Description

Envelope gaskets are PTFE covered Rubber Gaskets. By inserting into the PTFE envelope the chemical resistance of Rubber gaskets can be considerably improved.

Application & Usage

Because of PTFE Envelope gaskets anti-adhesive properties and physiological harmlessness, these gaskets are widely used in Food & Beverage Industry as well as Pharmaceutical and chemical industry.

PTFE envelope gaskets can be removed easily and quickly without residue from the flange faces, new gaskets are installed in no time.

Chevron Packings

Description

Chevron Packing permits immediate reaction even to minor pressure changes because of its distinctive and exclusive hinge like action. Each individual lip of chevron packing set independently reacts to pressure and automatically effect a seal. The multiple lip configurations automatically distribute pressure and an effective seal along the shaft.

Application & Usage

Chevron packing consists of Base Ring, Center V Ring and Pressure ring. The Center ring is the main seal being flexible enough to retain high & low pressure, whereas the Base seal support the Center ring from getting extruded against high pressures. The Pressure ring helps in retaining the Center ring profile& distributing pressure equally.

PTFE O Rings

Description

PTFE O-Rings are used in where we need excellent chemical resistance and non-compressible. It is also very tough and abrasive resistant.

Application & Usage

PTFE O-Rings may not get easily sealed when compared to other polymers. Its outstanding tear resistance and abrasive resistance result in its slippery surface properties that make it advantageous for use in seals in moving systems such as mass spectrometer probes and valves.

Guide Rings

Description

A Guide ring always seals two surfaces. It is pressed against the cylinder wall and the groove flank by the pressure load and its inherent pre-loading force. PTFE Guide rings are self-clamping. Consequently, in most cases, there is no need to back the ring by a clamping spring.

Application & Usage

The function of a Guide seal is to guide the piston and piston rod of a cylinder, absorbing transverse forces. At the same time, it prevents metal-to-metal contact, optimizing the performance of the sealing system.

PTFE Washers and Gaskets

Description

PTFE Washers and Gaskets are designed to deliver excellent purity, low stress to seal, chemical compatibility, as well as reduced creep and cold flow characteristics.

Application & Usage
  1. PTFE Washers and Gaskets are used in a variety of sealing applications including use with misaligned, damaged or rough sealing surfaces.

Spring Energized Seals

Description

Virgin PTFE and filled PTFE seals are used where minimum friction, wide temperature range and maximum media resistance is required.

Application & Usage

  1. Used mainly for O-Rings, backup rings and machined parts used in special applications requiring chemical inertness and limited strength. Ideal for use in cryogenic applications. Used in light duty very slow reciprocating and static applications subject to high wear.
  2. Used in dynamic sealing applications where the bronze filler gives improved wear resistance, hardness and compressive strength. The electrical properties and chemical resistance are reduced. Molybdenum disulphide improves the self lubrication.
  3. Significant increased thermal conductivity, reduced level of creep, self lubricating, therefore suitable for high speed application, without the need for exterior lubrication and applications which need to remove thermal energy and/or static electricity. High performance material with excellent wear resistance.
  4. Used where there is a need for improved wear and increased coefficient of friction. Ideal for high dynamic applications. E.g.: High rotation pumps. Excellent to cryogenics Helium, Hydrogen and Oxygen. 5. Used at operating temperatures above 175°C.

Wear Rings

Description

PTFE wear rings are used in control & regulating apparatus because of its lowest coefficient of friction, wide fluid application range, resistance to cold flow etc. Mechanical properties of PTFE can be improved by adding fillers such as Carbon, Graphite, Bronze etc.

Application & Usage

The function of a PTFE wear ring is to guide the piston and piston rod, absorbing transverse forces. It prevents metal-to-metal contact optimizing the sealing performance.

Custom Seals

Description

Custom components are made from captive production tooling based on customer’s drawing followed by State-of-the-Art machining.

Application & Usage

PTFE Custom components are used where excellent heat resistance, electrical resistance, chemical resistance, flame resistance and special friction-wear characteristics. Also it is impenetrable by most chemicals. It is very useful for chemical resistant applications such as FPD (Flat Panel Display) and semiconductor production equipment/devices, printed circuit board etching devices, metal plating equipment and chemical plants.

Diaphragms

Description

PTFE Diaphragms are designed in dosing pumps for flexibility, excellent chemical resistance and also to eliminate all other packings & seals. The driving member in dosing pump is a flexible diaphragm.

Application & Usage

The advantage of this arrangement is elimination of all gland packings and seals which are exposed to the liquid being pumped. This is an important feature when used with hazardous, toxic or corrosive liquids.

PTFE Bushes

Description

PTFE Bushes are high quality semi finished products in form of bars & tubes for the machining of sealing elements to cover the whole spectrum of seal applications.

Application & Usage

Semi finished PTFE bushes are used in sealing applications and has to be machined as per the internal applications. Besides the wide range of standard dimensions which are carried on stock, special dimensions are also available.
