Description

Rubber to metal bonded parts are used for antivibration, shock absorption etc., in machines, automobiles and earth moving equipments etc. This will take care of vibrations shocks that will rise in running machines or vehicles where the vibrations/shocks are not advisable for proper running.

Application & Usage

Rubber bonded to metal is the end product of Rubber to metal bonding process, which involves adhering rubber to metal substrate. The metal imparts sufficient stiffness to the rubber so that the part can be mounted, the rubber on the other hand equips the metal with elasticity and damping properties.

Mounts

Description

An important source for interior sound problems in vehicles or machineries is structure borne sound caused by vibration of the engines. Mounts prevents transmission of high frequency engine vibrations which cause the interior noise in the vehicles. Rubber has typical properties such as it can undergo large elastic deformation, the load extension relation is non-linear, it is nearly incompressible and viscoelastic.

Application & Usage

Mounts are designed to diminish vibration, impact or shock as well as to reduce noise level during application use. Vibration mountings are ideal for a wide range of uses including, but not limiting to use electric motors, generators, fans, blowers, control panels, machinery and much noise. Description

Valve Seat and Sleeves

Description

Rubber Valve seats are used in Butterfly valves for sealing purpose. The material of the seat can be made from many different elastomers or polymers. The seat may be bonded to the body or it may be pressed or locked in.

Application & Usage

The seat of a resilient-seat butterfly valve utilizes an interference fit between the disk edge and the seat to provide shutoff.

Description

Rubber bellows are mainly used as dust proof in shafts which need dust free movement of sleeve over the shaft and also due to free movement sensors can be actuated to control the flow in flow control valves.
